High Winds Produce PEC Outages - Nov. 11, 2015

Date: November 11, 2015
Topics: Press Releases

At People’s Electric Cooperative, our goal is to safely deliver electricity to our members. However, weather events such as the high wind we are experiencing today often interrupt electrical service.

At this time we have several wind-related outages.  At least 1 pole is broken and another pole was on fire today due to high wind.  Crews are working to restore power as quickly as possible.  Additional line technicians will continue to be dispatched as needed.

Members may continue to report trouble by calling our 24 hour outage numbers which are (580) 272-1500 – local Ada area, and (877) 272-1500 –outside the Ada area but within PEC’s service area. PEC's outage map is also viewable here.

We apologize for any inconvenience this event may have caused. The National Weather Service has issued a RED FLAG WARNING for much of PEC’s service area which REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING due to WINDY CONDITIONS.

Our goal is to restore everyone’s power as quickly as possible, while ensuring that conditions are safe for the men and women working on your behalf.
