Construction Tech I /Construction Tech II

Hours: Full Time
Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM M-TH + Other
Job Summary: Performs under direct supervision in all types of construction, maintenance operations and retirements, distribution conductors, structures, and de-energized lines only. Carries out assignments, interprets staking sheets, specifications, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and other related information as required. Responsible for the preparation of daily time sheets and truck reports, maintains courteous relationships with members, and maintains knowledge of Cooperative lines and territory. Knows all Cooperative safety rules, policies, and procedures. Performs after-hours service restoration work and is on-call, as assigned by the Cooperative, to perform such after-hours service restoration as needed.
Qualifications:

Must know REA specifications. Must be able to climb both wood and steel poles and work on de-energized lines. Must be able to pass PECs written exam demonstrating such knowledge. Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs. a reasonable distance and demonstrate the ability to handle required tools and operate equipment. Will work in inclement weather. Must possess good working attitude toward employees and consumers. Must qualify for and maintain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) to operate all cooperative vehicles and vehicle combinations. Must reside inside or be willing to relocate within our residency boundaries according to general policy 605.2.

Construction Tech I or Construction Tech II positions will be considered based on experience.
